Custom Metal Parapet Capping & Flashing
Custom-bent metal capping and flashing for parapet walls, integrated with the roof membrane so the building's perimeter actually sheds water.
What does parapet capping do?
A parapet is a wall that extends above the roofline, and the top and transitions of that wall need to be protected from water entry just as much as the roof field does. Metal parapet capping covers the top of the wall, helps direct water away from the exposed wall assembly, and creates a clean, finished roof perimeter.
Custom-bent metal accommodates the building's actual dimensions, corners and transitions rather than a one-size profile, and it's installed as part of the overall roofing and flashing system rather than a separate afterthought. Caps that become loose, corroded, damaged or poorly sealed are a common source of perimeter leaks on commercial buildings, and are often repaired or replaced as part of a larger roofing project.
Why choose this system
- Custom-bent metal fitted to the building's actual dimensions and corners
- Integrated with the membrane and flashing system, not installed in isolation
- Protects the most commonly overlooked source of perimeter leaks
- Creates a clean, finished roofline
- Backed by Pro.Found's 10-year commercial workmanship warranty
Our approach
How Pro.Found handles this project
- 01
Roof / site assessment
We look at the existing roof, deck condition and any problem areas before recommending a system.
- 02
System & material recommendation
Jon explains the options that suit the building, the budget and the roofline — not a one-size-fits-all pitch.
- 03
Written scope & estimate
A defined scope and a fixed price, in writing, before anything is scheduled.
- 04
Deck & substrate preparation
Decking, insulation or substrate is repaired or prepared as required before the new system goes on.
- 05
Installation
The roofing system is installed to the manufacturer's assembly, not just the top visible layer.
- 06
Flashing & detail work
Valleys, walls, penetrations, skylights and edges are detailed as part of the install, not an afterthought.
- 07
Cleanup & final review
The site is cleaned up and the finished roof is walked before we call the job done.

Common questions
How do I know if my parapet capping needs attention?
Loose, visibly corroded, dented or poorly sealed capping, or leaks appearing near the building perimeter, are the usual signs.
Is this done as its own project or with a roof replacement?
Either — we handle capping repair and replacement on its own, and it's also a standard part of a full commercial roof replacement.
Do you fabricate custom profiles?
Yes, metal is custom-bent to fit the building's actual dimensions, corners and transitions.
What warranty does Pro.Found provide?
Commercial roofing work carries a 10-year Pro.Found workmanship warranty. Manufacturer product warranties vary by system and are explained during your estimate.
What happens during an estimate?
Jon assesses the roof himself, walks you through the system options and follows up with a written scope and a fixed price. No sales appointment, no pressure.
